The Honda CR-Z is a Japanese compact car that was first presented to the public in 2010 at the Detroit auto show. Its serial production started in the same year and lasted until 2016 – during this process the model was produced only in the city of Suzuka in Japan.
The CR-Z model was developed and put into production by the Honda Motor Company concern in order to replace the CRX Del Sol model in the offer. Compared to its predecessor, the new car differed in many elements. First of all, it had a hybrid drive consisting of a gasoline and electric engine with a total power of 128 HP, which was later – in 2014 – increased to 197 HP by adding a compressor and adding new air filters or more efficient fuel injection. The braking system and – slightly – suspension were also significantly improved. The styling of the vehicle has also changed significantly. Despite the innovative drive and good performance, the car enjoyed moderate interest on the European and North American markets.
