1st Place – Emil Jaje

 M-Series Livery

Emil Jaje talks about his build

“The BMW 635 CSI Gumball edition received a striking makeover. Its body was coated in Tamiya LP2 white paint, complemented by a protective layer of LP9 clear coat. Delicate M sport striping, meticulously applied using LP46,LP41 and X14, required precision masking and patience. The decision to dechrome the bumpers and grille added a fierce edge to its appearance. Used old telephone wire to enhance the details within the engine and battery cables.”

Although the kit provided numerous extra details, I encountered challenges due to poor fitment of certain interior pieces and lights. Despite these hurdles, the end result was rewarding. Aoshima VIP Modular VSX11 wheels were chosen to imbue the model with a stanced aesthetic, completing its distinctive look.”

2nd Place – James Monaghan

Red Rally

3rd Place – Mark Griffiths

Castrol Livery

Mark Griffiths talks about his build

“When I saw which kit was being used for the build off I did some research to get a rough idea of the look I’d go for, I try and add my own unique style to kits that I build”.

“Some of the parts didn’t fit without some modifications and the hardest part was getting the roll cage to fit as it was from another kit and getting the seat in the right position was also challenging. I did use some bare metal foil around the exhaust manifolds, but you can’t really see this”.

“The body was painted with graffiti paint and I dry brushed weathering paint onto the body to make the car look a bit more used”.
