The Lamborghini Countach is an Italian sports car that was first presented to the general public in 1973 during the Geneva MotorShow. Its serial production lasted from 1974 to 1990. During this time, only about 2,050 cars of this model were produced.
The Countach model was developed to replace the Miura model in Lamborghini’s offer. Compared to its predecessor, the Lamborghini Countach was very clearly different in terms of body style, especially its front part, as well as the shape of the air intakes and the design of the passenger compartment. Although the same engine model as in the Miura model was used, it was modified, which increased its maximum power. However, the car was difficult to drive, and it also had a hard-working steering system and gearbox. Despite this, it was considered one of the best – if not the best – sports cars of the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. The car in the basic version (LP-400) is able to accelerate to 316 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 5.6 seconds! The prices of used Lamborghini Countach oscillate around 300-350 thousand dollars.
