The Subaru BRZ is a Japanese sports car that was first presented to the general public in 2011 at the Tokyo and Los Angeles auto shows. Its serial production started in 2012 and is still going on. It was concentrated in the city of Ota in Japan.
Subaru BRZ was developed and put into production in order to expand the brand’s commercial offer and establish a market battle with such cars as Mazda RX-8, Nissan 370Z and Porsche Cayman. The car is offered in only one body version, as a 2-door coupe. The role of the power unit is played by a 4-cylinder boxer engine with a capacity of 200 HP, which mates with a 6-speed automatic or manual gearbox. In 2013, a modernized version of the BRZ, called BRZ tS, entered the Japanese market, with improved suspension and aerodynamic properties. It is worth adding that at the same time Subaru BRZ took second place in the competition for the European Car of the Year.
