The Lamborghini Jota is an Italian racing car that was made in a single unit in 1970. The car was powered by a single 3.9 litre 12-cylinder engine. The Lamborghini Jota was developed by engineer and test driver Bob Wallace as a racing car. The Jota is based on the Lamborghini Miura P 400, but with a difference in materials used to build the body in particular.
The design and dimensions of the car’s frame have changed, as has the suspension. The styling of the body has also been corrected – especially its front part. The Jota has the same engine as the Miura, but with added electronically controlled ignition and changed cylinder heads. Finally, a car was created with fantastic for that time performance, capable of accelerating to 320 km / h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds! However, due to the company’s financial problems, the only copies of the Jota were sold in 1972, and a little later it burned down in an accident.
