Mitsubishi Pajero is a Japanese off-road vehicle that was first presented to the public in 1981 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Its serial production started in 1982 and is still going on! The production was concentrated mainly in the city of Sakahogi in Japan.

The serial Mitsubishi Pajero was developed and put into production in order to expand the company’s offer and strengthen its position in the off-road vehicle segment. The car did not have a direct predecessor in the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation offer, but it adapted and developed many solutions and concepts used in such cars as PX33, Jeep Minica or the so-called Pajero I from 1973. Finally, from the very first production series, Mitsubishi Pajero was known as a very good off-road vehicle with a reliable and solid structure, good overall durability and good performance for this segment of cars. The high quality of the car can be proved by the fact that the drivers on it won the Paris-Dakar rally 15 times! The car has four generations of its own, and is under production or is only offered as a 3- and 5-door SUV. At the moment, the most powerful power unit installed on the Mitsubishi Pajero is a 6-cylinder engine with 250 hp and a capacity of 3.8 litres.
